My pantyhose blog turns 2 next week

Hey folks,

I just realized that my Pantyhose Blog (http://teensinpantyhose.com/wordpress/) finishes its 2nd year next Saturday. In that time I have done 492 posts (all hand made) and built the blog to 60k uniques per month, 25k from search engines, 492 posts and it is a decent source of income for me.

Some things I learned along the way....

- Should have registered a domain for the blog from day one and built it from that. Right now it is located on teensinpantyhose.com and it would be counter-productive to move it to it's own domain now.

- StatTraq for Wordpress is amazing! This has allowed me to track my search engine traffic and target new keywords. Only problem I have is the database gets huge fast so I have to empty the contents every couple of months.

- The tag cloud should be used on every blog. It keeps people there a lot longer.

oh man, that url is horrendous! hahaha, domain.com/wordpress!!!!!!!!!!!! OUCH! But according to your stats it seems successful, VERY! So that is awesome man

also, at least you know that when you start future blogs, put them on own domain, i agree it's much better :)

Hey Chris,

congrats! That are some good tips and some nice traffic! I still have my blog on blogger (http://nylonmichelle.blogspot.com) but I will move to my own domain soon, before Google kicks me out, finally... I was always wondering if the Tag cloud works or not, but afte reading your post, I'll have it too :-)

And thinking of anniversaries: http://nylonmichelle.com turns 1 year old in November. I moved from clips4sale to my own member page and I was not sure if it would work out at that time, but I am doing pretty well and I am glad I did this step!

Definitely not happy about the domain but this was a few years ago and I started it on a whim. Every other blog that I started was on their own domain.
