Nice to see quite all revised their point of view ;) Jscott, you know more than other how can be difficult to promote a personnal website ( with the Noy's website ) and how an affiliate program is a full time job to entertain ...
Saffy's is one of the best model you had on your TGPs, ( like Passion, Sue, Astrid...and the list is not closed ..) but unfortunately, as Saffy said, those website are not " Big Business " and in many cases the models earn not enough to work on it as Full Time Job ....well for all detractattions, Guys, I will ask you a question ....would You be game to make around 3 nude shootings by week, everyweek, in certain cases without families, friends and more don't know anything about it , run an affiliate program, and manage all that ?? ...The simple fact to make a shooting with my hubby naked was really difficult !! :D :) so .....business point of view is good, but to make a good business you got to consider all the aspects of the questions...for exemple, if you were running a company, and an employee would be sick, that's not because he don't care about your product...and you won't fire him ...or I hope not for you, because if not..it would be really difficult for you to keep some quality in your staff ;)

Well, it threatenes our income, that is like, if oyu have any affiliates that promote you a lot, and make a lot of money with you and your site, then you close your site, imagine all the money he'll lose from not getting all his well-deserved rebills

It feels really bad, it's like you are demoting an employee for working too good, it just doesnt' add up and doesnt pan out to be too fair

that's why sometimes people get heated in topics like these

ps, and yes i had to close my solo girl site, i had more legal threats that ended up making me make that decision, i apologize for it, but i leave my members area open so the current customers can rebill thus still giving credit to affiliates for their rebilling referred customers, Saffy can you at least leave open your members area for current members? I think your affiliates would at least respect that more

Yes, it's sad when websites close down, for everyone concerned. I only know a small part of what is involved with affiliates for you guys, but surely we can't be counter-able for things that are out of our control?!

Saffy, I think you are being oversensitive. Also you might consider selling your site instead of taking it offline. Maybe somebody would be interested in buying it and you should be able to easily transfer it at CCBill.

And join my nylon toplist, I see you have some links on your front page.

Hit the nail on head, sweetie.....We're not super human, and can only do our best! All I can say is that I've done my best with my website with the knowledge that I know. I was a model who knew nothing about the technical side of websites but I wanted to learn and did so the best I could :p

Maybe I am being, but I just wanted to be truthful about my situation. I was trying to make out some sob story. I thought people would appreicate that!

I have no idea what the next step is, and you seemed to be just fireing questions at me. So cut me some slack!!! :p

I never thought about selling the website before. Can u do that?

jscott 06-09-2010 04:49 PM

Selling the site and/or content, very good idea I agree, plus can kick back some extra cash into your pocket when you exit the scene Saffy :)

Saffy 06-09-2010 04:55 PM

Your content is HOT! How much do you have in your members area? how many picture sets? how many pics per set? how many vid sets? any other contents?

nichednet 06-09-2010 05:16 PM

Saffy, I hope to hear back from you on my email ;-)

Suckerpunch 06-09-2010 05:26 PM

Hi Saffy,

Well it's obvious from this thread that you care and now that I have a full understanding of the situation I would like to help. I have worked with a number of single model / single site programs before and would like to help you out with some consulting or whatever else you need pro bono.

Hit me up and I can help you explore different avenues for the site.

Cheers!
Chris
