Silence of Sheeps - DMCA notices, Copyright Infringements etc

Hello,

I am a newbie here but I am not a newbie in our leg webmasters world.
Some of you knew me before I came here.
I started my first free website in 1997.

It's over 14 years of existing in web.

First of all I would like to apologise for my English which is not perfect.
I know after 14 years it could be better... (I feel shame now)

I will try to write clearly so you can understand what I mean.

I visit this forum very often. I even tried to signup 6 months ago but something went wrong and I was not approved.

Guys, almost everything I can see here is nearly crying. Crying over past good times.
Things has changed and golden years has gone..

Every day I try to find out why my income decreases even if I updated my websites on regular weekly basis.
I am uploading to my sites so many pictures and HD videos every week... Why it's still decreasing?

I think I found one main reason. I think it is not the only one but surely it is main reason.

People (visitors) are clever, very clever.

If you own a store selling cigarettes for example 1 box of Marlboro per $20

How can you expect people to purchase such cigarettes at your store if the next door
LEGAL store for a price of $15 offers 5 boxes of Marlboro and additionally extra 20 boxes of Camel's.
And additionally if someone enter their store they give him 1 box of choosen cigarettes free.

Everything I wrote is true.

Our websites are just like STORES.

We are producing content or purchasing - then we work on traffic and some people signup our sites.
They download our content just like people taking box of ciggarettes... And all is OK until our visitors find the other very very cheap store. Legal store which sells our content or just giving it for free.

Do you know what I mean?

Of course - I mean FORUMS.

They are legal and they offer stolen content legally.

Try to imagine - in real you open a new store and then you start advertising:

"STOLEN CIGARETTES! 30 boxes for a price of one! Thousands kinds of cigarettes!
Just come and see. Some of them are for free!"

I am very sure in a few hours you will be visited by investigator.
Even if you didn't have stolen cigarettes at your stock. Even if you just gave him an address where he can find stolen cigarettes. Your store will be closed and you will be prosecuted for illegal handling because you just provided people with information where they can find stolen products.

How come the forums are legal even if you can see "FULL SITE RIPS" advert at their front page?

And why webmasters of paysites do nothing to stop such criminals?

Marcin

cots 08-16-2011 06:48 PM

Hi Marcin

Welcome to Legwebmasters I am sure you will be a valuable contributor here - and your English is way better then my Polish :)

I don't have an answer to your very valid question. In our case, sad to say, it's just time. Whatever we do, will will never stop the theft, the best that can happen is that we try and keep it to a minimum.

Policing the web is a very time consuming process. We work on a principle that the time is best spent marketing the sites to get maximum traffic and sales. It's a bit like football (soccer to my American buddies) I would rather win 6-5 than defend like crazy and finish 0-0.

On a sober note I think it's important that we all stick together. If you find stolen content, as you have Marcin, post it here and we will all act. One thing I have done in the past is post on bigger boards with major players there. They often have the resources to tackle the issue more forcefully. I even have contacts on one or two of them that will happily bring a site/server down if we ask nicely and wipe the content. Sounds extreme but we have to do what we have to do.

Yes, we spend our time on marketing to increase traffic and therefore we expect better sales.
But someone started new store where he sells (or gives away for free) our content and this is why people visit your website amazingastrid.com to see what's new and then they type "rs amazingastrid" at google - and this way they can access your content for free. Try this and you can see how many of your zipped files are online.

We should not spend our time investigating and fighting content thieves. This should be done by proper services (FBI etc).
If someone stolen your car - do you spend your time looking for the thief ??? No, you just go to Police and they do this for you because you are paying taxes and it is their job to protect your property.

And yes - we should create strong community and start pushing for bringing down forums and file sharing services. Those are transnational criminal organizations stealing our intelectual property!

jscott 08-17-2011 07:43 AM

Hi Marcin and again, welcome! :)

Ya, it sucks that you are now joining in on these rough times, most threads on all forums are about scamming, card banging, tubes, ratios going to shit, all around decrease in revenues and such.

But about what you're talking about, the only ways I've heard is content owners must be VERY VERY VERY..... VERY!!!! active at going after these torrent sites, file upload sites, and tube sites, actively sending DMCA's probably every single day to protect their content. This is the only way!

I think it's becoming probably a big % of their daily work now, for those that actively chase down those thiefs.

Very shitty how in todays world, with technology and all, your example about cigarette store in real, advertising stolen stuff would get shut down immediately, but online those sites are thriving :( I do think someday the laws will catch up to these stolen content criminals

ikcawon 08-17-2011 08:37 AM

Hi Scotty,

Our websites haven't existed for yesterday. I mean our history is a long time story.

If we try to analyze WHEN our income started decreasing then we find out that decrease began with starting of filesharing services (Rapidshare, Hotfile etc)

Guys, please, stop talking about worldwide crisis. Our industry and especially our niches are mainly MEN or MALE industry. It means that our customers are 99.9% men. And the bloody truth: Our income is based on masturbation. :)

Even if you are a poor man, you always find a way to have sex. Masturbation is the most cheap and safe way of having sex. And the second bloody true - men have never enough sex. It's very rare situation when your wife or girlfriend harrases you in sexual way so hardly that you are pumped down and you want to do everything but sex. Of course almost all men dream of having such partner :)
Well, I often receive e-mails from my customers. Who are they?
Mainly 70% they are husbands returning back home after work and waiting for their wifes to get to sleep. Then they sit at their computers and.....
This is because men are getting bored quick in a relationship. And usually women don't understand or don't want to understand and fulfill sexual fantasies of men, especially if they are fetish related.

Well even if a guy is poor and there is no food at refrigerator - he is going to spend $24 or $30 for one month of membership at his favourite paysite because it is an average cost of one or two hamburgers at Mc'Donalds.

Of course he won't spend any $$$ if he can get it for free!

nyllover 08-17-2011 12:43 PM

First of all...welcome to the forum and it's a pleasure and honour to be able to exchange messages witg you.
Ickawon's Pantyhose was the very first site that "hit me" ages ago...the one that had exactly what i was looking for... the one we thought about when we started PiediVelati.com :)

Back to the topic...i disagree. It's the same crying the music industry is doing, and guys the solution it's not to keep crying and keep pointing fingers against Rapidshare.

Only way for us is to keep doing what we are doing, to produce always better content, to protect our content as much as we can (first thing: try to avoid stolen passwords) and.... to let our customers fall in love with us. Let them come to our side.

If a customer is happy and somehow "in love" with the guys from a site, that brought him what he always dreamed about, and that are always kind and open to his suggestion...then he will always be the first one to protect our content.

My english is not that good as well, but what i'm trying to say is that in times like this, what we must do to survive is improve our... "customer care", if i may say. Let them fall in love with us, let them respect us...

What do you think?

Midi 08-17-2011 06:26 PM

Hi Icawon,

From me also a warm welcome here on board.
I´m with you when you say "we should create strong community and start pushing for bringing down forums and file sharing services."
Further I guess we all here in this forum should hold more and more together in these hard times. The only way to fight against Password sharing, Site ripping or something else is to notice that early enough.
I don´t know how often I write to some of our colleagues if I find there content somewhere in the net. It´s a pity !
In times like these whe are should see our work like a big company becuase we all work with the same matter "LEGS".
So don´t look away when you find stuff from other sites.
I know we have a very little, unimportant page but even our site was hacked a few times. You see,... it seems to be a sport to share content or share passwords.
Let us all hold more togehter!

Stefan
( I know my english sucks ;-/ )

ikcawon 08-17-2011 06:39 PM

Hello Nyllover ! Thank you for compliments!
And you know, your website nyllover.com is my favourite website where I always come to see new updates from movie scenes :)

Back to topic.. I am sad to tell you - you are a dreamer and idealist my friend.

Most people visit our websites because they love our content. But only a few guys really care of protection of our pages.

It is none of their business to protect our pages. They just want new updates.
If they can get them for free - they will not pay.

But it's not place to argue.

Is PassioniPiedi.com your website?

There is a forum only-nylon.org

They ripped PassioniPiedi and over 14Gb of your pics and videos is shared at filesharing site.

only-nylon.org is password protected - you have to be registered member to access this forum. But registration is free.

I highly recommend all you guys to take a look at this forum.
I am sure everyone would find there his content.

ikcawon 08-17-2011 06:49 PM

Hi Midi I am sorry I didn't notice your message when I was replying Nyllover's post.
Thank you for your support!

Marcin

js69 08-18-2011 05:33 AM

Yes these a**holes have been around before under a different url, but it is the same. I recognize the admin username. Previously they had ripped nearly every nylon site out there and posted it. I would recommend going after their payment methods. I got them shut down with paypal before. Alertpay are a**holes. Contacted them and got nowhere. However I cannot imagine that Amazon would condone this.

nyllover 08-18-2011 06:42 AM

Holy shit....thanks for letting me know...yes...that's one of my sites.... i'll go after them...

ikcawon 08-18-2011 07:09 AM

There is FREE AREA , GOLD AREA and VIP AREA

VIP AREA paid 15.00Eur per month

Click below

Now they use 8 payment methods:
alertPay / PayU / Amazon.com / Amazon.de / Bitcoin / PaySafeCard(PSC)* / Ukash* / cashU*
If you want to pay - you have to PM site administrator - he will decide whether to allow you to become VIP member or not. Then you will get URL where you can pay.
This means it's not easy to track them with payment methods
Click below

Can you imagine? They sell our content!! They use 8 payments methods. They are the biggest leg fetish website at this world. They store files at external filesharing services...

We are working like a beavers and then they rip our websites and earn money on our content!!!
They have over 8.000 users
Click below to see the proof

8.000 users !!! Can you imagine? How many of them have purchased membership? But even if they haven't - they still have FREE AREA containing tons of content!!!

@ Nyllover - my friend, do you still think that working on websites, taking good photos and having nice models is a key??
8.000 people less at our websites. Man, we are not a porn industry! There is limited number of fetish people going to purchase memberships at our websites!
My friend. Let's say - if you have a PARASITE inside your body. You won't be fit and healthy even if you eat health food.
First you have to get rid of parasite, then you should take care of your body.

This is what I investigated:

1) There are two websites operating under only-nylon.org domain

- only-nylon.org/forum - forum

- only-nylon.org/blog - blog

2. Who is records: http://whois.domaintools.com/only-nylon.org

Domain Name:ONLY-NYLON.ORG
Created On:09-Nov-2010 11:20:04 UTC
Last Updated On:26-Feb-2011 07:30:30 UTC
Expiration Date:09-Nov-2011 11:20:04 UTC
Sponsoring Registrar:Alantron Bilisim Ltd Sti. (R1371-LROR)
Registrant Name:Linh Wang
Registrant Organization:Linh Wang1298705701
Registrant Street1:3617 Tower 1 Lippo Centre
Registrant City:Hong Kong
Registrant State/Province:Queensway

Registrar is from Turkey - https://www.alantron.com/ (legal@alantron.com )
Registrant Name:Linh Wang - in my opinion it's a bullshit
Website is hosted by Turkish hosting company from Istanbul:
Dgn Teknoloji Bilisim Yayincilik Sanayi Ve Limited Sirketi (bilgi@dgn.net.tr)
http://www.dgn.net.tr/

A few days ago something went wrong with their server and I saw this information page:

************************************************** ************************************************** ****
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, rajstopki2010@googlemail.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
************************************************** ************************************************** *****

This means that main administrator is POLISH ! Because "rajstopki" is typical Polish and only Polish word and it means "pantyhose"

I have already sent DMCA NOTE to Turkish hosting company bilgi@dgn.net.tr which still remains unanswered.

I need more people (YOU) to take a real action against those fu...ers !

nyllover 08-18-2011 10:06 AM

Ok, i was a dreamer till a few hours ago.

Having said that...could you post here the DMCA notice you sent, or at least a sample of it? That way even people that never did it (like myself) could send it.

Waking up from the dream....since May i can see a decreasing number of new sales on PassionePiedi.
Coincidence?

nyllover 08-18-2011 10:09 AM

I believe this is that Linh Wang:
www.xchiang.com

:(

Midi 08-18-2011 10:31 AM

I have a proposition.
Is it possible to make this forum more private ?
I mean,... everyone can read what we are talking about here in this forum... also our enemies!
They can see our next steps and can responsive very quick.
If we try to take a look inside their forums, it´s almost impossible.
I´m sure that everyone can register here and see then our posts but if we checkup the sites who the applicant specify at the registration, we can see if he is a true website owner or not.
As I said,... We all should work more together against these suckers or sites going down one after the other!
What do you think ?

cots 08-18-2011 10:32 AM

We need a good hacker to shut down/wipe the site - everytime if needs be. Is there any Lady Sonia stuff there, or one of the really big guys e.g. Only Tease? They are the type/size of guys to pull of a mega hack - via their contacys of course.

ikcawon 08-18-2011 10:37 AM

YES! I AGREE WITH YOU MIDI.

You are right my friend!

This forum should be private and reading posts should be available to registered members only.

@ GEOF,

I tried to contact OT without reply.

And the biggest problem is that when we bring down server then they move their domain to another hosting.

They should loss server and domain either

Regarding OT, strange...i always got an answer from them.

Going after the host and registrar, since they're in less than friendly jurisdictions, isn't likely to be very fruitful.

Going after the billing may garner a bit more success, but they'll just move to other options.

In my experience, strictly as an observer, the most effective deterrent is a relentless pursuit on getting the files removed from the file sharing services. If the download links go dead quickly on a continual basis, those doing the uploading tend to move on to other sites that don't aggressively get the content removed.

A service that does that kind of work for you for a reasonable price http://takedownpiracy.com/

I'd also recommend removeyourcontent.com but currently they aren't taking on new clients.

Really? I've used RYC in the past.

So TakeDownPiracy does the same thing as RYC? I'll have to check into that. I was wondering what other sites out there offered similar services.

js69 08-18-2011 02:17 PM

I agree, going after the host is fruitless. I did that and they had to move about 6 times. Always found a new home.
However with billing what I would do is register and then send the admin a pm telling him you want to join with say Amazon. At some point he will have to give you his Amazon email address (or whatever is used). You then go to Amazon and say "this person is using Amazon to sell stolen content - Please shut him down."

But unless you can get them all shut down this is really only a nuisance and does nothing to slow down the pirating of content.

cots 08-19-2011 06:37 AM

I have been giving this a lot of thought and I have formulated the beginning of a plan. I have only sketched it out in my head but it could work. I am not going to publish it here for reasons which have been stated in this thread and by others who have mailed me privately.

If you are interested then PM me or mail me at the address in my profile.

It may work, it may not, but what have we got to lose?

nyllover 08-19-2011 10:35 AM

The idea to keep at least a part of this forum private has lots of sense. Jscott, why don't you create a specific section for our fight against piracy, and make it private?

nyllover 08-19-2011 10:38 AM

Cots...sending you a PM

jscott 08-19-2011 12:01 PM

We've set this up before guys, but nobody really took part on it.

http://legwebmasters.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=7

If you cannot access this, please pm or icq me 130321510 and i'll get you setup
This will be a section that ONLY people with good reputations have access to, all the long time members, and those like ikcawon too that prove they around for long time and valuable webmasters at protecting content and privacy :)

nyllover 08-19-2011 07:54 PM

Didn't know about it...well done :)

cots 08-23-2011 09:47 AM

I owe everyone an apology.

I have spent the last few days researching the possibilities of what we can/can't do and have drawn a blank. I can do exactly what I wanted to do, but the costs would be far higher than I expected. Also I couldn't think of a payment scheme that would work. The modus operandi I thought about would mean that everyone would benefit - even if they didn't subscribe to the service.

So, for us, it looks like a simple strategy from here on in -

a) be more vigilant via Google searches
b) get the DMCA letters out and follow up
c) report all stuff we find here (private or otherwise)

Oh and try to keep winning 6-5! On that note August is going to be -

a) the best month for www.candyleglust.com since it launched
b) the best month for www.amazingastrid.com since 2008

So all is not lost. I still firmly believe that time is best spent marketing the sites - but concede that we have to work harder to get the results.

Good to hear that biz is on the upswing. :)

I would agree, the best use of the bulk of your time is working on the content and marketing of your sites. Finding a time efficient process for handling those DMCA chores is still important but it can't be at the expense of working on your sites.

If you haven't already, check out the services of http://takedownpiracy.com/ they may be able to do much of the DMCA work for you at a fair enough price that you can focus on other things that make you money.
