Epoch Affiliate Payouts - WTF?

Just got an email in from Epoch affiliate support.

Dear Geoff Cotton ,
We are contacting you as an active affiliate in EpochStats for one or more Epoch processed Sponsor Programs. It is important that you read the following regarding payouts made by Epoch.

Effective September 16, 2016, Epoch will discontinue paying affiliates by check and/or wire. The last scheduled payout is for the period of August 27 to September 2, 2016.

Be aware that all sales will continue to be tracked normally and commissions will continue to be credited to your affiliate IDs. However, all proceeds after September 3rd will be paid directly to your sponsor. We suggest that you contact your sponsor's affiliate manager to update your method of payment.

If you use EpochStats to track your sales, it will continue to be available for at least one year when the program will be reassessed and possibly discontinued. We want to provide this ample time for you to make other tracking arrangements.

WTF - As if life wasn't difficult enough as it is!

Jeezus, yes i got these emails yesterday too, this is potentially terrible news. Luckily (for me) I don't promote most of the sites on Epoch anymore... but yes, this adding salt to the already wounds we have from this biz

I use cc bill because they pay affiliates. They are trusted. This Epoch thing will not be good for either sponsors or affiliates. Something is going off the rails, I think.

Epoch's affiliate back end sucks even worse than CCBill's. Not a huge part of Epoch's business these days.

It won't have much impact on my end. I have only one active rebill on Epoch for a site that no longer uses their affiliate back end. Just not many fetishwear sites use/used Epoch's back end.

ModelCentro has an affiliate back end with models adding sites, and promo content, on a daily basis. I've been promoting a handful of sites for a couple of weeks now, but not enough data yet to say how well they will sell.

I agree, that's the main reason i was hesitant always before joining Epoch affiliate programs. That backend should be made illegal, it was really terrible!

The odd thing is site owners swear by it. So many have told me that sales improves significantly after they switched from CCBill to Epoch. Now it could be the affiliate issue makes sales look good. If we didn't pay affiliates we look way better off!

So either way us affiliates are screwed!

You mean some programs switched to Epoch both for transactions AND affiliate program? That's crazy of them... Epoch affiliate system has always been the worst...doesn't surprise me they are closing it.
The best thing to do is add Epoch as first on CCBill cascading (like we did) and keep the affiliate system on CCBill. Affiliates still get credited for sales, and sales increase beacuse of, mostly, paypal.
