Art of Pantyhose

Hey folks,

Looks like another leg site is on it's last legs if not abandoned. Art of Pantyhose has had no updates since April and Christian hasn't returned my emails. It's sad because this site was the one of the first sites I started promoting. Christian was also one of the first webmasters I did work for and some of my original banners can still be seen around the Internet.

Guess I'll start removing links tonight...

*sigh*

Yep, it's a shame if it doesn't come back online. Many fond memories of Janette and Mia... lol.

Unfortunately, I have seen many very, very good sites go under, recently -

When the penny finally drops, it will be far too late for thousands of webmasters.:(

Shame....just a shame really

Having seen a top quality leg photographer like Pawel disappear recently, I think in a year's time, we could all be using the internet for looking finding new recipes - Some in solid retirement, some in desperation.

I don't think so. As long as you are providing your members with something unique that they can't find elsewhere, and you know your niche, you know your members and what they like, you interact with them and they love the model in general.....I don't think so. JMHO

Thank god we still have OT :) *knock knock on wood*

Don't even say that! I'm sure OT will be going strong for many years to come. Considering they make up a good portion of my affiliate income I'm counting on it... LOL!

Interesting comments. I will keep my thoughts to myself at the moment until I read more here. Using my "Glamour Images" head I am not at all sure the comments are on the right track. But let's wait and see.

Photography is a vicious game. In this racket, top quality does not always mean top sales. A site is only good if it "excites" its customers and can crank out the product at a price that makes sense. I suppose you could say the same thing about fast food, really.
Mickeydees doesn't make a top quality hamburger, but they sell the most.
Personally, I always preferred more "down market"l magazines when I was a kid. Then I watched Penthouse take on Playboy...ruder but 35mm and not as "good". Then Hustler, even "worse" came along and took them both on. English magazines did very well and never hit the high note of quality photography.
And look at the mess Playboy is in today.

Agreed :)

The most sales I have made as an affiliate has been with this site:

http://www.mature-women-in-panties-porn.com/

No they don't have young people on the site, and some might even think they wear the same lingerie or do the same poses but they KNOW their niche and that shit sells! lol

People don't join sites because the site design is pretty. People don't join sites because of the settings that the models pose in. People join sites because there is something about the model or what the model is wearing or doing that excites the hell out of them and they want to see more. People who GET it have a loyal following. Some sites look so general....what is their niche, what do they do?

This thread was posted to a UK forum and I thought the comments on that thread were interesting and if Jscott allows this, I'll post a link here:

http://www.beerandbollocks.com/forum...ad.php?t=27267

Some interesting comments were made in that thread. Geoff himself made this comment:

"Interestingly I had just done an in depth review of my affiliate stats over the past few years and conversion rates are holding up well on solo model/niche fetish sites. It's the generalists that appear to be suffering!"

Hmmm.....

There were some interesting comments there, and as usual on b and b, a lot of bluster and pontificating. BTW, I can see how that site you posted sells.
