True. To succeed in create a forum that gives you all th advantages jscott is talking about you really need to work hard and have a lot of patience. My forum is generating decent sales to me right now (i say decent...but not really a lot of them...let's say 5% of the sales i do), but it's 5 years old and has more than 7000 members now... and believe me, it was really hard to get there.
So...my suggestion is...don't create a forum of your own if you just want to get traffic, better post galleries on other forums (but don't do that on mine...i've set up strict rules on link posting, because i want to be the only one getting sales from there
)
