Default Eliminate The Middle Man

It seems tube sites don't need to pay pirate thieves anymore. They just ask for free content now.
I keep getting "offers" that ask for full access to download all of our videos and various tube sites will use them to "promote" us. Why steal it when it appears people will just give it to you?
Then they post it, ad blocker makes sure no one sees your banner...and they make a buncha money selling cam sites etc. Duh.
There have been leg type webmasters who in the very recent past extolled the virtues of giving it all away. Loudly proclaiming (again) that the pay site model is deadand just sooooooo 90's. Oddly, they have returned to that ancient outdated model of actually charging money for product.
Next year, I am sure another goofy desperation theory will be floated, then ditched.

How do you guys feel about giving it all away for free, gratis and for nothing?

Agree with you. Why would we do that? The "Free" model relies on tons and tons of traffic that can be sold via paid ads/links.

Sales are ok so far this year. Overall Jan 2014 was our best for four years - so clearly there is life in the "paid membership" model yet.
