I think also, that most of the tubes, which give the content away for free,
will be bankrupt and gone, soon, too. They also don`t have a real source of income. They can try it with pills/tablets and toys for example, but for such are already companies/persons, which/who provide/push these. I suppose, that success is also depending on the quality of the content of a site. Cheers Last edited by 6ynylons : 04-06-2010 at 11:17 AM. |

With those times, many persons have to transform /change their activities to earn cash...use their material to turn it on cash ( Photography studios, website creations companies, specific modelling ...) but one of those way was to create free websites to increase presence on the net . Blogs and Forums were quite hard to entertain ...so create social network with other persons who are authorized to post their own contents by categorie is a real good way to do this ... So...6Nylons , There are really MANY reasons to create Tube websites.. Somona A. |

@6ynylons and @onlytease - Thanks!
@6ynylons and @somona - Yes, there is money in tubes or else people wouldn't be doing it. If you look at where they're making their money it's generally on dating and cam sites. Some of these sponsors, they will pay up to $100 per signup. I know alt.com is currently doing a promotion for $175 per signup. Like somona says, when you have 45k visitors daily it's not hard to find revenue. On the downside is it's costly to run a high traffic tube site plus the legal side of things. I recently read that a few of the largest tube sites have agreed to cease and desist after continued copyright infringement complaints and legal cases. With the big guns starting to fall, copyright holders are going to focus on other illegal use of their content and start pressuring the smaller tubes to become legit. Problem is with the number of illegal tube sites out there it's going to take a long time for this to happen. As the folks at Only Tease can attest to, there's a lot of sites/forums/etc that appropriate full sets and videos and post them illegally. I know they've been battling this issue for years and I'm sure they still see it on a regular basis. I still think tubes are evil and have caused a lot of the issues related to the shakedown in the industry. But that's just me I swear I am still working on the next post related to paysites... it's turned into a huge beast and I'm trying to pare it down a bit. Cheers! Chris |

As for me, http://www.tube-erotique.com primary purpose is internal traffic generation for all of my concepts. All of my sponsors on Digitaldivasonline.com have direct say as to the length of video, etc. I do not allow my users to embed, download or do any other stuff like that.
I also re encode by hand all of the video, so that the birate and sizes and everything else is highest preview quality possible. Of course, with me, everything is underconstruction, blah. but by the end of this year, the good seeds that I have planted, will be ready for the next level.

I hope adding this link will be allowed as I think some of you might find this interesting. I know I did! I found this site when I was Googling for something else. I checked out the forum since I always like to read what surfers have to say about sites/content...what they like to see, hate to see, etc. Anyway.....there was a thread devoted to "Why pay for porn?" and some of the comments were interesting. Like I said, I hope the mod will allow this link:
http://www.pornusers.com/forum/forum...?threadid=1048 If you don't allow the link, can I tell people to Google "Why do you pay for porn" ?? (1st result that comes up) I think it's relevant to this topic which is giving adult webmasters an insight into the way *some* porn surfers feel about the free stuff available. Jessica PS....I too am looking forward to Suckerpunch's follow up post! |

Thanks for the link Jessica ...Sure there are clients for pay porn, the prob is that to attrct as much persons as possible we all ( I think ...) decided to promote our websites with free websites ...and , some decided to push free websites not even to promote other pay websites . I think they think ( !?!? ) to get more cash possibilities with more traffic, so more way to get cash with links and banners ( more than a traditionnal TGP ...) ...this si quite the same way uses facebook to get cash ..." I am popular, my website is a HUGE vitrine ! ...gimme the cash , your website will be more than popular ..)
In the end of the line, the only winner are those popular websites, not even the companies deciding to put banners on them |
