Ok, so I'm still a bit pissy about the damn hotlinkers so I tried to settle myself down by doing some SEO stuff when I ran across this...

It has the same color scheme as http://www.teensinpantyhose.com and they've lifted most of my META stuff from the page for their own. It's only a landing page to another site but by stealing my shit he's in the top three in some of my key search terms.

Not sure if anyone knows who it is or if they are a member here but for fuck sakes people... do your own damn work and quit ripping people off.

Tracked down the information and sent an email to the abuse department at DreamHost...

Dear Sir/Madam,

It has been brought to my attention that a site that appears to be hosted on your service has taken color schemes and META content from my page. This is clearly a copyright violation and I would very much appreciate it if you could;

- contact the owner of the domain and request it be changed immediately or
- suspend the account until such changes are made.

The IP that the domain traces to is 69.163.165.164
The domain is http://teenpantyhose.net/ which copies elements from http://www.teensinpantyhose.com

I appreciate your attention to the matter and your expected co-operation.

The abuse department got back and wants me to submit a formal notification as per the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (512(c)(3)(A)(i-vi))... I did some research and the chances of them recognizing the META and HTML code as a copyrighted material is not very good. It mainly pertains to text and images and it's impossible to copyright color schemes and META.

I am going to contact the owners and ask them to change/remove it or will continue with the complaint.

Wow, i never knew about the actual law, sucks that it only protects some things and not META, but, glad it can maybe get something done, at least use it as a threat

So here's an update on the situation... Dreamhost is a giant collection of asstards and have no intention of doing anything. No response from the webmaster who stole the crap. I have sent an email to google and working with an awesome rep who is considering blocking the site from their search engine based on my email. He visited archive.org and was able to see how long my site has been the way it has been.

But now I have decided to hate spammers, especially foreign ones. My blogs are getting inundated with them and making me cranky... must be this grandpa thing taking hold finally.

Every once in a while you get one that cracks you up beyond belief so I had to share this one...
