The trend continues ...

Yet another one ...

At the rate they are dropping, how many Stockings / Pantyhose sites will be left to promote by the end of 2012?

riemens 12-21-2011 11:07 PM

never got much sales from this site ....
but there are a lot of good sites to promote and i am sure they will not close

Toby 12-22-2011 01:53 AM

Some thinning of the herd can be a good thing, assuming the sales that the closed/closing sites were making are now going to other sites.

jscott 12-22-2011 02:13 PM

Bye bye AoH :(

cots 12-24-2011 01:00 PM

Not sure her site is closing, maybe it's just the affiliate side?

I think there is a misplaced conception that the 50% commission paid to affiliates can make a difference to revenues if it's withdrawn. That only works if the site owner has the time/resources/contacts to market the site themselves.

Interestingly two sites (Satin Jayde and Vixen Nylons) have just set up affiliate schemes after resisting them for a long time and they MUST be seeing a mega uplift in sales as a result if my numbers are anything to go by!

Which is something they should have already been doing, even with an affiliate program. "Be your own best affiliate." Way too many never learn that lesson until it's way too late.

On a related note... I've been doing a little clean-up on my local HD and server, deleting files and folders that were being used to promote now dead programs. I killed over 8000 files on one domain alone. :(

100% right as always Toby. I just don't understand some folks. In the past couple of weeks I have been asked to trade links at several sites. I have replied "ok but you first" and most never bother to write back. Why bother asking me in the first place?

There is still definitely good money to be made in the adult/leg/fetish web world but it's not easy. You have to work harder at it, and probably have to have multiple sites, but it's still possible. The weeding out of the weakest should reward the strong that survive - and that goes for paysites and TGPs.

I hear through the grapevine that there will be new nylon and leg/feet sites in 2012, from several well established programs. ;)

Also, just wait until you see the new Vintage Flash tour that will be launched in the next few weeks. It's a superb tour, which I believe will vastly improve sales for Nylons Cash and it's affiliates.

cots 12-29-2011 10:51 AM

We will be launching a brand new solo MILF nylons site in January and a brand new multi girl site, with a difference, in February!

Once they are done we have plans for another solo site plus possibly two more multi girl sites, all leg/stockings/pantyhose and high heels related.

Maybe it could be an exciting year after all :)

I'm looking forward to these new sites guys.

Sucks to see 10 sites closing per 0.25 sites opening up. Good luck on the launches and hope to see your announcing them here so we'll all know to push you guys :)

That sounds promising. My ratios for Vintage Flash for 2011 are about 1:1200. Not awful, but not great either.

The new sites Geoff has mentioned also sound good, looking forward to a more profitable 2012.

As an affiliate I agree JS but as a sponsor I am hoping less sites, and some of those were pretty poor, will mean more business for those of us that have survived. Fans still want their leg based "adult entertainment" and some of the guys on here have excellent sites and content which I am sure will continue to do well!

Interesting what Toby says about VF. They do very well for me, but I would feature them regularly anyway as I am a huge fan. Great girls, great styling and a real knowledge and feel for the fetish. Whilst this is my business I sometimes succumb to sites I really like and VF is one of them.

Ratios are critical, as Toby rightly says, but at the end of the day I am in this game because I love what I do and the content we produce, or promote, is the driving factor in that enjoyment.

To be fair, and upon further review, those ratios are about as good as any other pure lingerie/stocking sponsor I promote. While I do have quite a few sponsors with conversion ratios of 1:600 or better, all of them have most or all of their content in the other fetish wear categories I promote, primarily boots or latex/pvc.

Lady Sonia had been my #1 sponsor for many years, but her numbers have been slowly declining for some time now. She rarely does hardcore shoots any more and also rarely does the femdom stuff that put her on the map years ago. At the peak SoniaCash was 17% of my total income. I still do well with her site, but she doesn't dominate my sponsor list like in the past.

The biggest change in my income list has been the growth of my AVS sites. I started with some sites on CyberAge in 2009, deliberately made to match the niches of my fetish wear TGPs as that is where most of the traffic comes from to those sites. I made enough to cover cost of the content, but not much more. Early this year CyberAge was showing signs of pending doom, so I shifted all my sites to NetVerifier. The monthly income from those five AVS sites now exceeds income of any single sponsor that I promote. (sites links here)

The only real constant is change.

P.S. I'm also a fan of that vintage look. Garters, FF nylons, stiletto heel pumps... Yes Please!

Hi, Not been on here as much I should, sorry 'bout that!

I can only speak for my own experiences with my sites.

I hate bullshit, so will just say it as it is. My sites have grown over the last 3 years, obviously if you examine too closely sales or traffic stats there has been an up, down, up trend week to week, and we've had both worst ever days and best ever days in last 3 months, so I don't look that closely or let these things worry.

I think a thinning down of sites can be healthy, with new better sites coming through. Natural selection at work.

For us, we have a major much needed revamp of Vintageflash, long overdue as I was tbh afraid to meddle with it as it well, 'worked'. So the new version will have to be a good one, and we feel it is a leap forward in many ways, some not apparent, except to the member.

We have looked at both attracting new sales and technical and design improvements to improve retention. Adding a free dedicated foot fetish member site earlier this month is one of these additions that has raised sales and retentions.

So, I'm sure affiliates will have plenty quality nylon niche sponsors to promote in 2012, including my sites hopefully!

All the best to all for New Year, and keep on keeping on!

Tobyone welcome back here man :)

I'm not really familiar with your sites, I'm going to have a look and join your aff program tomorrow and import what FHG's you have.

Thanks man.
