In 2009 I read very lots about the recent techniques in photography
and videography, including the lights.
My favourite sites are : www.slashcam.de and www.dsrl-forum.de
I know enough, what is up now to shoot content with a high resolution.
I bought at least a dozen digital cameras the last 12 months and a camcorder, but I gave 'em all back to the shops for the luck and
got my bucks back.
I just tested 'em, but they weren`t good enough.
Besides from this I tested some camcorders and some lights.
I just need to buy such equipment and some more lights.
No topic.

To get the better result with cam, you got to get a DSLR, in a trusted brand ( Nikon and Canon are the most trusted, but recently try a FujiFilm S3, and I was really surprised )...You don`t have to buy "dozen of bodies " but only two ...with collections of lenses ( 17-80 mm, 50 mm, 35 mm, etc in the best operture you can ...you can find all reviews from tis here http://dpreview.com
But remember, that`s not the cam who does the photography, it's the photographer AND the attitude of the model ...
I recently made a whole series of pics for an expo with a simple Nikon FE, and That was really great result ...
I usually work with Nikon ( D1X ( because of 10 Mp extrapolation on RAW files ) D2h, D2x and D3Xs ) .
The light is the oxygen of the photograph, you have to catch it to do the best shots ! More natural it is, the best result you got ...
Finally, remember ONE thing in this....try...try as much as possible i every model you have, on landscapes, animals, insects ....experience is the key
