We have been generating our own traffic for years. This is far from new. Your price point is ok, but again, we have been doing this for an awfully long time, so there is no struggle. We have been in the punters face forever. That is what we do and so should everyone. I am curious about what you think is different about what you are doing. It looks the same as everyone else and it is pretty obvious you are feeling the same economic hardship as everyone else. So could you please enlighten us about what is different about your business plan. Not to be rancorous. Believe me, I am not mining for advice, but just curious.

We have also been doing this for a very long time as have LOTS of others although I suspect we possibly have more people working on the "social network" side than a lot of other sites. The only difference is that while some are seeing doom & gloom we had our best ever month in May (in terms of both revenue and profit) since launching in 1998 and my point is that the business has changed and with all of the traffic and social network platforms out there now the web is really perfect for the solo or "personality" site to thrive.

We also have some great partnerships with other site owners too which generate a LOT of sales and this is one area which I *think* we were in front of most others with.

We love our affiliates and still have some excellent affiliates bringing in a lot of sales but the affiliate side of the business only has one way to go.

Steve I am going to shamefully admit I am mining for advice lol!

What's the difference between "partnerships" and affiliates? Genuinely intrigued and always interested to learn.

Affiliate sale is where you take a 50% cut on any sale/upsale.

Partnership is where you advertise each others site at 50% discount with no affiliate payout so you end up making a LOT more sales to each other.
