Thanks for all your positive thoughts and best wishes guys
 Not much change at the moment.. updates via Maxine. Geoff had a tracheotomy during the week. All went well, and he seems to have coped with the operation without hiccup. He is still ventilated, but now via the tracheotomy, rather than the throat tube. He still has a bad infection in one of his lungs, so they've upped the treatment to try and rid it. Yesterday they started to reduce the sedative, to bring him round slowly, some positive signs but no change today so far.
