I hate hotlinkers...
On I finally got around to launching my Only Tease blog called Only Tease Fan and the site is picking up about 300 uniques per day from hardlink exchanges and search engines.
I check my stats today and found that some foreign bastards were hotlinking my images and creating pages using my content. My bad, should have put the hotlinking protection in before I launched the site but never got around to it. In any case I got my revenge and used a mod rewrite to send them an additional picture to screw them up. I had the same prob with Matureph ....that's why I start a new website every year, with new style and new host ... if they hotlinked my pics, they got some probs now

Yeah, I can't stand hotlinkers... they make things so much more difficult. If I hadn't been monitoring stats closely they would have been stealing a lot of bandwidth.

Actually not a bad idea Jay. I think I will change the picture tonight and drive some traffic to the site
 Perhaps if I didn't let my anger get the better of me, I would have been able to figure a way to profit from those fuckers...

Thanks Michelle.... I'll check it out.
I started looking through all my stat logs and found that I'm being gouged by a few forums across several domains. I have blocked them all rather than used the anti-hotlinking until I can set something up properly. Bastards were stealing about 15% of my overall bandwidth by the looks of things. Cheers! Chris

So after 9 years in the business I had my first bandwidth overage due to hotlinking SOBs... I just redid some htaccess files and took a good hard look at my stats to see where they were grabbing stuff from.
The server it happened on has 2TB of bandwidth assigned to it and I consistently try to keep my servers at 60-70% of its allotment. I ended up 400 gigs over the allotment. Fuckers...
